WPPI University is a 2-day workshop for emerging photographers who envision a successful future in photography. Portfolio Review information:

You may bring a print or digital portfolio

Your one-on-one or group review with 1 of our judges will take up to 5 minutes. Judges will critique portfolios by identifying strengths/weaknesses and give overall advice on how to best showcase your portfolio.

For Print Portfolio:

• Up to 12 images
• 8 X 10 prints are preferred, but welcome all sizes

For Digital Portfolio:

• Up to 12 images
• Must bring your own lap top/iPad/tablet. We will not provide AC outlets
• Please have your lap top/iPad charged. There will be no internet service available

Live Judging of 2013 WPPI Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition

WPPI's prestigious Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition allows photographers to submit their best 16x20 prints for a chance at WPPI's top honors! Prints in a variety of categories covering Wedding, Photojournalism, Portrait, Commercial and Composite are judged live on March 9-10, 2013 during the WPPI Conference + Expo in Las Vegas by an esteemed panel of judges. All WPPI 2013 attendees with a Full Conference Pass are welcome to view live judging.

Live Judging of 2013 WPPI Awards of Excellence Album Competition

The WPPI Award of Excellence Album Competition is the leading album competition for wedding and portrait photographers. Submit your best wedding, engagement, event or videography album for live judging at 2013 WPPI Conference + Expo on March 9-10, 2013. What Would Jerry Do? A LIVE Photo Shoot by Jerry Ghionis

MGM Grand Conference Center – Come be inspired, educated, challenged and entertained as Jerry Ghionis shows how he brings out the best in his subjects and his locations during this LIVE shoot. Jerry will show how to make an ordinary location look extraordinary and how to use existing ambient light, on and off camera flash and the Ice Light to great effect. He’ll choose people and props from the audience to photograph, and his in-camera artistry will be instantly displayed on a big screen. Stay to enjoy the cash bar, music, dancing and karaoke too. Free to WPPI University attendees and all WPPI attendees with a Full Conference Pass.

Launch Pad

Attendees and Press will get a sneak peek at the latest and greatest products from WPPI’s exhibitors before the trade show even opens. WPPI’s Launch Pad will be open to all media and all WPPI attendees. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.

Canon’s Cocktail and Dessert Reception

All WPPI attendees are invited to attend a night of great music, entertainment, fun, and networking provided by Canon. Sony Event

Some of the most fun and best connections are made during WPPI outside the classroom. Sony will be treating WPPI attendees to an exciting night celebrating photography and everyone who loves it. Kevin Kubota's Photographers Ignite

Hosted by Professional Photographer Kevin Kubota, Photographer’s Ignite will feature experienced and upcoming photographers sharing their cool techniques, trends, ideas and inspirations in 5-minute presentations related to photography as a profession in this fast-paced, exciting and often very funny event. WPPI Party by the Pool

MGM Grand – Grand Pool Complex, Producers Pool, sponsored by RED and Triple Scoop Music. After being inspired at Photographers Ignite, put on something white and join hundreds of your friends for a poolside party under the stars at this nighttime social event.
