Correction

In the August 2008 WPPI newsletter, we incorrectly published the 2nd place winner of the Bride & Groom Together category in the first half of the WPPI 8 x 10 print competition. Jeremy Harwell won 2nd place for his image, "Walk With Me?" We apologize for the confusion.

Australian photographer and WPPI member Michael Cook has been nominated in the Deadly Awards for Visual Artist of the Year. The Deadly Awards are Australia's National Indigenous Awards and acknowledge excellence in areas including music, sport, the arts, entertainment and community. The term "deadly" is actually an Aboriginal phrase meaning awesome. The awards have been referred to as the Golden Globes of the Indigenous community.
